It was not before a guy had set me a meeting at a bar that my godsister had told me everything she thought about the guys who dated online. I was told that they were not normal, not in their minds and so on, but I figured out the next question, “Why not?” Just because they date online doesn’t mean they don’t walk the streets like all people do, for example. Why can’t I go out with someone I’ve met over the Internet? I can go out with someone whose number I’ve got at a party, in the street or at a mall, can’t I? Anyway, when I started getting online, my intentions weren’t to find a date. All I wanted was to find people to chat with, that’s why I joined an Online dating service and a popular college websites. These online conversations were too changeable: one minute, they were good dreams and the next one, they were nightmares…
Nightmare #1: The name I put him is “Bird”. He was the first guy from the Internet I met. It seemed to me that this man was perfect, I mean he was not only looking great-6’5 tall, brawny and with a smooth skin – he was also working in a record company, and, of course, had to do with a lot of celebrities. He even had photos with almost everyone uploaded on his site. Our first common interests included music as I used to like writing music. Now wasn’t he cool? At that time, I was convinced it was fate that has made us meet accidentally in this huge Chicago after two whole months of chatting online and not having set a single date till then. When I have seen him, I raised up my arms and then he spoke to me. I couldn’t believe the disappointment of hearing his squeaky, bird-like voice, but I decided to ignore it. We didn’t converse too long for we were both hurried and decided to set up a date in the future the next time we talk on the phone. Nightmare #2: The name of the second guy I met will be “Bath”. All I knew about him was that he worked as a deejay, liked his work a lot and was promising, and that he had graduated from Southern Illinois University. He had a nice neat haircut, he was wearing a cool leather brown jacket and I also liked his teeth. I gave him my phone number after some empty conversations, because I was somehow attracted to him. The next two hours I was called by him four times, which set me off a little, but I ignored it for I thought it was a natural thing for him to want to set a date. We set it in front of Old Navy and decided to go to Portillo’s. Was it a coincidence that while I was waiting for him, I saw there two guys I was once dating, two old friends of mine? I don’t know. I figured out I shouldn’t be that rude as to drive them away and, besides, as I was afraid Bath wouldn’t look like in the photos he sent me, my intention was to ask them to hang around, just in case. But we only exchanged our phone numbers, to be able to keep in touch, and they left. Some time later, Bath had come, tapped me on the shoulder and stopped. He was shorter and bigger than I had expected, but he was good-looking anyway. I realized immediately why he wanted to be a deejay – he liked to run his mouth as water in a bathtub. After we got to the restaurant, he ordered his food, not saying a word about me, paid it to the cashier and when the last one asked him if he wanted to order something else, he simply said, “No”, took his food, sat down and began to eat it in front of me. His answer to my staring was an amiable invitation “to have some of his fries, if I wanted, because he could see I was hungry”, to which I said, “No” and left. I went to a good friend and got my meal for FREE an hour later. When I got home, the first thing I did was to block his e-mail address, delete him from my friends list and change my phone number.
Nightmare #3: The third guy will be called “Car”. I knew from his words that he was working in a music company, actually he was its co-owner. We talked a few times about hip-hop and then he invited me to a reggae party of his in a club, where I had come with two of my girls. When the deejay announced him, I immediately recognized him, besides, because he was looking like in the photo he gave me. He, in his turn, didn’t know who I was and didn’t recognize me not even after me having approached him to tell that the party was great. All he did was thank me and dance with one of my girls. The next day, he sent me a message and I told him that the girl dressed in maroon at the party last night was me, at what he seemed surprised and set me a date again the next weekend. I found out he was from Bronx and the next moment, he said he didn’t like my real name and that he would prefer to call me “Shorty”. It really turned me down. He told me his life-story about how he left New York, because he wanted to take care of his mother who had suffered a bus accident, that he returned four months later with nothing, because he didn’t take his clothes with him when he left New York and other typical lies. I couldn’t understand why someone would leave to another state without any of his stuff. It means he must have been on a run. Dream #1: “Seat” is his name, but, unlike the other guys, he was a good one, that’s why it’s hard for me to call him Nightmare #4. We went to a movie together, then he took me to a restaurant. But the day we went out on a date was precisely Car’s birthday and I was still a little confused about him. Another thing that stopped me from liking Seat was that, when we hugged at the end of the date, he groped my butt, which immediately made me realize what was on his mind.
Nightmare #5: After having to face so many disappointments with the first four “online matches” – Bird, Bath, Car and Seat, it was a little bit hard for me to get back to online dating. First he told me that the polish on my toenails was dirty, then he complained about the sand getting on his shoes, then he told me about the mother of his child whom he called fat and about him trying to get custody of his child, and when his telephone rang, like it wasn’t enough, he jumped. In addition, on our way back, the moment I jumped from a rock to another, he made the smartest observation of all that he heard the Earth move. Now that was the last drop, it was a very great offense, because not only was I weighing 145 lbs., but my instructor told me not only once that I was in great shape. It became more obvious than ever that if he tells me these things when I am comfortable with my weight, the day I really gain it, he would be a real jerk. It was no wonder that when we got in silence to his car and he wanted to hug me, I’ve just put out my hand, at what, surprisingly, he looked disappointed. Did he really expect I would thank him for all that he’s said to me?! That same night, we talked by instant messenger, full of arguments about his attitude. At that moment I’ve come to think I would never meet a bigger jerk than him…
Not until I’ve met Nightmare #6-the so-called “Gap”, because he had a gap in his two front teeth. I thought he was absolutely gorgeous from his photo, but when I saw him, I realized he was shorter, he had a bullet wound on his cheek and his white t-shirt was as long as a gown. Still he was good-looking, I would have given him an eight on a scale of 1-10. The next moment, I found out he had a child with a woman, and that he had problems with seeing him, a fact which only reminded me of Fat. I was ready to turn him down, but I felt like his personality was so much like mine and we went out for a couple of more great dates to different shows, at his and my houses and at my favorite place in front of Lake Michigan. We even sat up at nights, watching stars and drinking wine. It was then that I’ve come to think I’ve found the right guy. And then, one of those nights, I found out from him that he was an ex-drug dealer; that the mother of his son was possibly pregnant with another child of his; that his mother was psychotic; his father was living with him, because he was an alcoholic and was fired from his job; and that his sister was deadly ill with some kind of disease. Plus to this, he asked me money for a bus card and for a cell phone, to which I fired him soon enough.
These were my six nightmares and I think they served me as a lesson for good. That was really enough for me. But when I come to think about that guy I’ve met on the other site…

African Americans and Interracial Dating: Who’s Dating Whom?

Important change is said to be occurring according to TV Programming Shows.
When it comes to interracial dating and marrying for African Americans, an important difference is being made between women and men. This gender difference is actually quite substantial and it seems to be changing. The changes frequency is increasing in the last few years, it being especially proved by popular television programs.

This gender imbalance felt by African American women when dating and marrying people of different races is still substantial according to 2000 Census. All these facts, including the one to say that it is harder for African American women to find men to date and to marry, most of all because of the gender imbalance, have been thoroughly discussed in magazines and popular daytime shows.
It says that African American men were more likely to date and marry white women than African American women were to date and marry white men. According to the statistics, the couples where the husband was black and the wife was white composed circa 73 percent of African American/white interracial couples, because the percentage of African American women having white husbands was 2 (1/2) times less than the percentage of African American men having white wives. More than that, in unmarried African American/white couples living together, this percentage was even five times less.
According to the annual Current Population Survey reports published by the Census Bureau, after the 2000 Census has been issued, the number of white husband/African American wife couples was higher than before, but all these statistics were in the same time too little reliable for they were based on too small sample sizes. There has been made a small survey of college students who have also proved that there is a shift in the gender balances of African American/white interracial couples.
The survey was made among the students of 629 East Carolina University. They had completed an anonymous questionnaire based on the students willingness to have an interracial relationship. The number of those who were open towards this kind of relationship was almost a half of the students, among them nearly one-fourth that were already involved in an interracial relationship. More than that, ninety-two of those who had already had experience with this kind of relationships were not against repeating the experience. Even if there were more African Americans than whites who were eager to accept an interracial relationship, still there were no important gender differences between the students who were open to African American/white interracial relationships and those who were not.
If popular culture is to be considered a reflection of its participants experience, then why not revise a few television programs that promote interracial dating and marriage, especially with African American wife/white husband couples? Let’s look through some of them…
Let’s remind ourselves of the so much popular Friends series. In some episodes at the end of the series, there are two white men (Joey and Ross, the last one being Jewish) who dated an African American beautiful woman, an anthropologist by profession. In the end, she goes back to the white university professor she was dating before dating Joey. In the Firefly series, by Joss Whedon, which were shown first on Fox and then on SciFi channel, prior to the hit movie Serenity, there was a couple, where the wife, Zoe, was an African American kick-butt right-hand-’man’ to the Captain and the husband, Wash, was a white man, Firefly’s pilot. And in the so much criticized and well-known series of Lost, its viewers were shocked when the African American woman Rose’s husband, Bernard, was found alive and, besides all, he was found to be white too! And when you come to think that there were a lot of viewers who were almost sure Bernard to be an African American…
Another popular show, a Fox’s medical show, House, M.D., in its second season now, has shown a few interracial couples in its episodes. In “Maternity” of Season One, there was a funny scene with an African American woman working intensely and her white husband, who, because of an epidemic in the hospital, was turned away from it. In Season Two there is another episode that shows us an interracial couple of a white man and an African American wife. Apparently, she is very stressed by the loss of her husband’s ability of expressing himself verbally. And in the series of Supernatural, a new hit shown on Bothered is also an episode where one of the two white male main characters remembers a girl, whose mother was white and whose father was an African American, with whom he used to have an interracial relationship a time before. There are absolutely no racial differences shown in these episodes, all we see is just a nice and loving relationship between the two of them.
In conclusion, the entire previous example have proved us that race in a relationship is a non-issue. The couples of African American females and white males were not shown as tragic, heroic or melodramatic, but simply as normal relationships. This is a significant shift from the interracial relationships so-much portrayed a few years ago, where the male was African American and the female was white. Is this the end or the story is to be continued more on? We can only hope so and wait to see what happens next, so just stay tuned…

Probably the worst, and in the same time, the best thing that has ever happened to me was to fall in love with an ex-beauty queen. Her beauty was faded, but she never forgot her “good times” of glory. She knew perfectly well how to make a man happy by causing him pleasure and in the next second she could bring him pain and make him the unhappiest man in the world. She was the master of pleasure and pain, and she also had impressive life experience and wisdom, which I was willing to share too.

She had traveled a lot all over the world, knew all about the etiquette and followed it, and she was a gourmet. I could only be delighted and hypnotized just being next to her for she was a woman of very high culture. She was also very good in bed; there was nothing she wouldn’t do for you if only you asked her. When I asked her where she had learn all that, she told me that she was taught by many rich playboys and also that she has been a member of the jet set when she was young.
I am an independent and rich man, with a lot of opportunities and desires. One of them is to have near me a woman who could stimulate, and there is nothing better for me than spend time having sexist doesn’t matter the time of the day. 1. Time is the all-important factor. One needs to put the past behind them and feel as if they have moved on to another chapter in their lives. If one person is still in love and wants the relationship to continue, time must separate the two, until that person realises that he or she is moving on in life without the other as a special, intimate companion.

2. No sex please, we are just friends. Don’t even think about sex with the ex. You’ll be back where the troubles all began.

This is actually a serious matter for all couples, because most holidays are set aside for families only, but if the relationship is that serious than you can consider the girlfriend or boyfriend a family member. I have seen many relationships carry on for years and years and they don’t even bring them over for the Holidays. Some people are more insecure about bringing someone over for special Holidays, me on the other hand enjoy bringing someone I love over to the house so that she can meet my whole family. My whole family does this and it’s something that usually always happens every year someone gets a new girlfriend or boyfriend.
Discussing this situation amongst your family before it happens is probably the best thing to do, because some family members might feel a bit offended to have another person that isn’t involved in the family to come to a Holiday celebration.

Another problem that always seems to happen with someone bringing a partner of theirs over to the house for a Holiday is who is going to bring who? If you are the guy and enjoy being with your family on a certain Holiday than you probably will want to bring your girlfriend over to the house, but if the girl feels the same way, you may have a bit of a problem of your hands. This should be something that is discussed between you and your partner, a long time before the Holiday is even coming up. Do you have friends of the opposite sex? I consider myself quite a broad-minded person, who is open to build relationships that are not all about sex, but none of the friendships with the opposite sex survived long enough. What’s the matter?

I think that any relationships that involve individuals of the opposite sex always have an air of “that thing”. You cannot deny it. Like flirt is the same “light erotic turn-on” towards the object of your interest, friendship is a kind of latent sex attraction that one day will just find its way out. The only exception I see is in a situation where your friend has homosexual orientation.

Just think when we say this phrase: “Can we just be friends?” Right, when we know there is no chance for any sexual relationships with that person. No one actually expects to keep a friendship alive, as that is a best excuse not to hurt someone’s feelings.
As for the friendship itself, it’s hard to say there is nothing going on between two of you, when you obviously find each other to be a nice companion to share your thoughts and feelings. If you find that person sexually attractive, you unconsciously put your energy to get close to him. May be friendship is this very way to start something more intimate.
In fact does a friendship between men and women exist? As the old saying: men are from Mars and women are from Venus. We can have a lot of common interests and share tastes, but when facing each other we rarely find that much mutual thing unless we are attuned to. I am not sure whether my point of view is somewhat feminine, but no man will make me believe that his intentions are “far from sexual interests”. In case when abstinence from sexual activity is not free but rather an induced choice, some people find physical activity as a substitute for sex.
